The Combined Federal Campaign drive is held each Fall. This year we will be listed in campaigns in Texas, Virginia, Georgia, and Florida. School Programs
  • NATCAvist volunteers gathered again at the end of the summer to coordinate the shopping for school supplies. Every possible supply was sought out and sale prices were our goal. Special thanks to Mike Palumbo (DAL) who managed to find the most sales across the metroplex. Supplies of pencils, crayons, markers, paper, notebooks, glue, and even backpacks were delivered to two locations for distribution to needy students. The children were thrilled with their supplies but especially excited to have a brand new backpack they could call their own. This worthwhile program receives such wonderful thanks and is one of many niches NCF likes to fill in our search for projects that make a difference in our communities. Many thanks to all who helped with shopping, delivery, and especially with donated dollars to make this program possible!.

Mystery Auction - Our 2007 silent auction and mystery wine/bottle auction, held in conjunction with the NATCA in Washington event, was a HUGE success. Over 125 auction items were available for bidding and attendees each received a free door prize ticket with their registration. We look forward to our next event in 2008!

    FUND RAISING - REPORT
Our 2005 Fall Golf Tournaments were all a great success. August 29, 2005 in Houston Texas! A charity golf tournament and casino night was hosted by NATCA ZHU and over $3000 was raised to benefit NCF. September 13, 2005 - one of two Virginia golf events! A charity golf tournament hosted by NATCA ZDC was well attended and raised $500 for charity. October 3, 2005 in Haymarket, Virginia! The NCF DC Metro office hosted their 2nd Annual Charity Golf Classic. This event raised over $2000 to benefit NCF and charitable causes in the DC area. We hope to see you at one of our future golf events and, as always, thank you for your support of our golf tournament fund-raisers! Kudos to all the NATCAvists, donors, and volunteers who helped to make these events a success! Link to Golf Page

HURRICANE RELIEF REPORT - Special Thanks to NATCAvists for the heartwarming donations and time to help with our Katrina Relief Programs. NATCA Charitable Foundation has a number of programs completed and is planning more ways to help over the upcoming months. We recently purchased back packs and all the necessary school supplies for the children that have relocated to our cities. Packs were stuffed and labeled according to age and distributed to the children of families evacuated from New Orleans. Meacham Field terminal is assisting over 130 evacuees, donations of clothes were received and a local dry cleaner donated services. NATCA Charitable Foundation provided laundry bags for each of the families. In the Houston area we provided 'Apartment Starter Kits' to families moving from temporary shelters into local apartments. Kits contained a variety of cleaning supplies, linens, and basics for a kitchen set-up. We also donated bottled water to the Houston area FEMA offices for the many evacuees who were having to wait hours in line to speak with an officer. Water and apples were both passed out to those waiting in the heat as the lines wrapped around the building and wound through the parking lot. We will continue to monitor and assess needs. Water, food, work and school uniforms, transportation and housing needs - the needs list is very large and we are committed to helping those who have suffered in this tragedy.

REPORT - Our newest fund-raiser... a Cruise for Charity aboard Royal Caribbean ! October 10, 2005 to October 14, 2005. With sun and fun on the itinerary we all had a great time 'cruisin the Caribbean'. A special "Castaway Party" was sponsored by Angela Cooper and each cruise cabin received an embroidered tote bag donated by Vector Shirts. Totes were filled with goodies underwritten by Rick Baugh and Debra Donahue. Special thank to all our underwriters, the cruise participants, and to Chris Bishopp for arranging the details. Link to Cruise Page.

Our 'great big martini' door prize basket (donated by Trish and John Gilbert) was won by Kyle Johnson and Scot Morrison won one set of the Northwest Airlines (NWA) RT for Two. Over $18,000 was raised to benefit NATCA Charitable Foundation and community programs across the U.S. We look forward to seeing you in Boston at the 2006 NATCA Biennial Convention!
